SAN ANTONIO (Texas News Radio) — New rankings out from Allstate names Brownsville the city with the best drivers in 2018.
In fact, Laredo, Midland and McAllen were also included in the top 10 best in the nation.
It’s the 14th year the insurance company has ranked the 200 largest cities by how well people drive. Kansas City, KS, held the top spot last year, with Brownsville in second.
The rankings are based on collision frequency.
“Traffic deaths are especially high during the busy summer travel season,” IIHS President Dr. David Harkey said. “We hope this year’s Best Drivers Report encourages more people to buckle up, slow down and minimize distractions to reduce their risks when they’re traveling over the holiday and all year round.”
The three worst cities were Baltimore, Boston, and Washington, D.C.
