A northside Wal-mart that was damaged by fire last week will re-open it’s doors Wednesday morning.
Wal-Mart’s Anne Hatfield tells us the Vance Jackson location is still undergoing repairs and work is being done to re-stock the shelves but the grocery department is ready.
“The full grocery department has been restocked so shoppers can get what they need. Also , the businesses in the front part of the store, including the McDonald’s are going to be open as well. The pharmacy has stayed open although in a limited capacity but that will be back up to speed very soon as well.”
Hatfield says the rest of the store is going to take some time because of all the smoke and water damage. Plus all new stock had to be brought in and placed on shelves.
The store is located in the 1600 block of Vance Jackson. The fire was reported Friday evening and it appears it was set intentionally. Nobody was hurt but the store has been closed ever since.
The doors re-open at 8 Wednesday morning.
